Terms of Service
Effective June 24, 2026
Welcome to Writerrific. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Writerrific writing workshop at writerrific.com (“Service”), operated by Writerrific (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who Can Use Writerrific
Writerrific is designed for students in grades 1–7 (ages approximately 6–13). To use the Service on behalf of a child, you must be the child’s parent or legal guardian. By enrolling a child, you represent that you have the authority to do so and that you consent to these Terms on the child’s behalf.
We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or provide personal information without a parent or guardian’s involvement. Parents provide the email address and contact information — children access the workshop through a private link, with no account required.
2. The Service
Writerrific provides an AI-powered writing workshop where students work through grade-appropriate writing lessons and receive feedback from “Ms. Reyes,” an AI writing coach built on Anthropic’s Claude technology. Ms. Reyes is an artificial intelligence, not a human teacher.
Parents receive progress updates and can view completed work through a parent dashboard link provided when their child is enrolled.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share your child’s private link with people outside your household
- Use the Service for any purpose other than educational writing practice
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or scrape any part of the Service
- Submit content that is harmful, abusive, or illegal
- Circumvent any security or access controls
4. AI-Generated Content
Feedback from Ms. Reyes is generated by an AI model. While we have designed Ms. Reyes to give age-appropriate, constructive feedback, AI-generated content can occasionally be incorrect or unexpected. We encourage parents to stay involved and review their child’s sessions through the parent dashboard. AI responses should not be treated as professional educational or therapeutic advice.
5. Intellectual Property
Your child’s writing belongs to your child. We do not claim ownership of any content students submit. We may use anonymized, aggregated writing patterns solely to improve the Service — never in a way that identifies your child. See our Privacy Policy for details.
The Writerrific name, logo, curriculum content, and software are our property and may not be reproduced without permission.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees about specific learning outcomes or improvements in writing skill. We are not a licensed educational institution. Writerrific is a supplement to — not a replacement for — school-based instruction.
We do our best to keep the Service available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee uptime or that AI feedback will always be perfectly calibrated to your child’s needs.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Writerrific shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll notify enrolled parents by email before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
