Qasem Solumani: The Icon Foor Resistance against America!!!

One man is recognized as the principal architect of each of these policies: Major General Qassem Soleimani, long-time chief of the Quds Force, a crack special forces battalion of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Although revered in his home country and feared on battlefields across the Middle East, Soleimani remains virtually unknown in the West. Yet to say that today’s Iran cannot be fully understood without first understanding Qassem Soleimani would be a considerable understatement. More than anyone else, Soleimani has been responsible for the creation of an arc of influence—which Iran terms its “Axis of Resistance”—extending from the Gulf of Oman through Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon to the eastern shores of the Mediterranean Sea.   • Importance of Qasem Soleimani for Iran:

    1. Qasem Soleimani was the most instrumental person behind maintaining Iran proxies around the Middle East.
    2. He joined the army at a very young age and rose to prominence quickly.
    3. During the Iran- Iraq war , he fought in the front lines. He played a pivotal role in this war and it was during this war, he rose to prominence.
    4. He was a leader of a battalion and he played a major role in winning the war for Iran.
    5. Another quality of Soleimani was that during that time he enjoyed good relations with America and that America too had a trust on him. It is believed that America helped Iran due to his Instance.
    6. When he became General, he was made the head of the Quds Force. It is the wing of Revolutionary Guards and deals in International intelligence and proxies. This force is designated as terrorist by America.
    7. Initially, he maintained a low key figure and instead focused on building links with different groups in Middle East Countries.
    8. He successfully established links with Hezbollah of Lebanon, Hamas of Palestine and Bashar AL Asad group of Syria.
    9. Soleimani was able to forge the foreign objectives of Iran. He gave a clear direction.
    10. He was the most important figure in the fight against the ISIS.

  • America And Qasem Soleimani:

    1. America and Iran enjoyed cordial relation for a brief period of time. The most important person for these relations with America was Qasem Soleimani. The Americans once considered Soleimani as a close ally
    2. During the Iran-Iraq war, it was due to Soleimani relations that America came to help Iran in the war. As a result Iran won the war. At this point Iran and America enjoyed the most cordial relations .Similarly, when America wanted to overthrow Saddam they sought help from Iran and Iran helped them overthrow Saddam. 
    3. In other issue both countries united that was in Afghanistan. When Taliban took control of Afghanistan, both Iran and America supported the faction which opposed the rule of Taliban. Iran also helped America during the Afghan war .
    4. Soleimani was also a leading figure in the war against the ISIS . This fact was also accepeted by the Americans themselves. Soleimani broke the back bone of ISIS and destroyed the network.



  • Why America Turned Against Solaimani:

    1. The most important reason is the attack on embassy of America in Iraq. It is said that the mastermind behind the attack of Solaimani.                                                                                                          
    2. Solaimani secretly developed relations with Hezbollah of Lebanon and Hamas of Palestine. Both of these organizations are considered terrorist by the America.
    3. Due to these proxies , the influence of of America's closest ally Saudi Arabia is decreasing.
    4. America supports overthrow of Bashar Al Asad whereas Iran supports the current government and Iran has been particularly been successful in this. Iran even helped Assad in syria in suppressing the uprising.
    5. Yemen is the greatest bone of contention for Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia accuses Iran of supporting the Houthis which is armed group fighting to topple the rightful Yemeni government and indirectly endangering Saudi Arabia sovereignty. In all this Solaimani was a key figure which helped the Houthis financially as well as provided weapons. 
    6. Solaimani had a great influence on Iraq after the Shia government was formed. This caused alarm for America as it still have a great number of soldiers in Iraq.
